This past weekend saw the Gears of War Pro Circuit head to Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Open, and OpTic Gaming proved their worth once again with a solid tournament win, earning themselves $120,000 USD and 25,000 Pro Points.
They were strong throughout, qualifying top of their groups with three wins and no losses, and didn't drop a game up to the grand final, dispatching Ghost Gaming, Echo Fox, and eUnited almost effortlessly. They then faced Team EnVyUs who, while they had a great run in the loser's final, couldn't topple a team who has established themselves as a goliath in Gears esports.
This win rounds off a great first half of 2017 for OpTic, who also won the Atlantic City Open and Paris Open, and if you're sad Season 1 of the Pro Circuit is concluded, you'll be pleased to know that the Gears of War Esports Twitter announced a second season coming later this year.
Are OpTic the best Gears team in the world right now?
