Entinen Xbox-pomo tunnustaa rohkaisseensa konsolisotiin

Oi niitä aikoja... se oli aikaa se. Microsoftin Xbox-pomoina on nähty monenlaista aina Ed Friesista Phil Spenceriin. Parhaiten mieliin on ehkä jäänyt entinen Pohjois-Amerikan Segan pomo Peter Moore.

Moore otti ohjat vuonna 2003, ja toimien seurauksena alkuperäisen Xboxin elämä katkaistiin varhain, ja tilalle saateltiin Xbox 360. Moore jätti Microsoftin vuonna 2007. Xbox 360 täyttää tänä vuonna 20 vuotta, ja Danny Peñan podcastissa Moore paljasti, että hän rohkaisi omalla kaudellaan konsolisotiin Xboxin ja Playstationin kesken, koska se oli hyväksi liiketoiminnalle.

Moore kokeekin, että nykyisin pelialalta on kadonnut räväkkyys, kun kaikki ovat niin hyvää pataa keskenään.

"We were young enough to have fun and do all the daff stuff that we did, and and all the stunts. I think that you know the console Wars, that that you're kind of alluding to, were healthy for the industry. Look I've said it before, we just certainly... I did encourage the battle because I think gamers loved to see Xbox versus PlayStation."

"This is not the old days of the console wars. Punching each other and trying to steal customers and and trying to get market share and build your attach rate, this is bigger than that in an economic sense. Has it lost a little bit of the the feistiness that the industry I think fed upon and grew upon? I think so yeah."
