Team Dignitas has announced that they have signed a team to compete in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, becoming the sixth squad under the organisation and featuring Peter 'suntouch' Logan, Florian 'Liquidz' Bruyere, Martin 'spajKK' Beneš, and Asger 'ZiphoN' Storgaard Høffner.

The team will compete is "all available major competitions" including the Auzom Premier League and trials for duos, and will also be seeking a spot at the recently announced tournament at IEM Oakland, where $200,000 USD will be at stake.

"We have been incredibly impressed by Bluehole Studio in their efforts to maximise the rapid growth of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds amongst the passionate esports consumer," said Team Dignitas CEO Jonathan Kemp. "We are encouraged by the dynamic fan base that supports this game and believe the PUBG brand and competitive game genre aligns well with the other teams in our Team Dignitas family. As we cross the one-year anniversary of Team Dignitas' acquisition by the Philadelphia 76ers, we are more confident than ever that the resources and experience provided by Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment will create new opportunities for our organization to grow, innovate and compete at the highest level within the esports industry."

The in-game leader role will be filled by suntouch, who is a former Smite player with players like Dignitas and Cloud9, and both he and his duo partner Liquidz were ranked number one in the world on many occasions. At Gamescom spajKK also competed as well, so there's no shortage of esports experience between the team.

Can they qualify for Oakland?
