DICE ja EA ajattelivat, ettei pelaavaa kansaa kiinnosta niin wanhanaikainen juttu kuin yksinpeliosuus. Siksi niin Star Wars Battlefront kuin Battlefield 2042 jäivät ilman moisia tunkkaisia muistoja menneisyydestä.
Nyt kuitenkin pystyyn on polkaistu Ridgeline Games, joka keskittyy tekemään vain ja ainoastaan sitä yksinpeliosuutta Battlefieldille. Johdossa on Halon veteraani Marcus Lehto.
