Painajainen ennen joulua eli The Nightmare Before Christmas on ajateltavissa niin klassisena joulu- kuin Halloween-elokuvana. Ikää on jo 30 vuotta, ja juhlan kunniaksi ohjaaja Henry Selick on muistellut menneitä, ja pohdiskellut tulevaa.
Peoplelle puhunut Selick ei ole missään tapauksessa kiinnostunut tekemään jatko-osaa. Elokuva tuli ulos oikeaan aikaan oikeassa paikassa. Mutta ehkä esiosa?
