Battlefield V:n julkistuksen yhteydessä joukko pelaajia nosti meteliä siitä havainnosta, että DICEn versiossa toisesta maailmansodasta on mukana myös naisia ase kädessä.
Battlefieldin tuottaja Aleksander Grøndal vastasi, että DICE asettaa hauskuuden historiallisen tarkkuuden edelle Battlefield V:ssä. Nyt myös DICEn general manager Oskar Gabrielson on sanonut kantansa asiaan Twitterissä. Pelaajille valinnanvaran antaminen tulee jatkossakin olemaan keskeinen asia Battlefieldissa.
