Bethesda on ollut tähän asti se studio, joka on selkeimmin osoittanut tukeaan Nintendo Switchille. Laitteella ovat jo saatavilla esimerkiksi vuoden 2016 Doom, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ja Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Moinen on tietenkin herättänyt kysymyksen, olisiko myös Rage 2 tulossa Switchille.
Dual Shockers kysäisi asiaa Bethesdan Pete Hinesilta Gamescomissa. Asiasta on ollut puhetta, mutta kovinkaan luultavaa ei Rage 2 :n Switch-versio ole. Tämä johtuu siitä. että Rage 2 käyttää eri pelimoottoria kuin esimerkiksi Doom ja Wolfenstein.
"We've talked about it, but it's a completely different engine and tech. The nice thing about Doom, Wolf, and Doom Eternal is it all uses id Tech, Rage 2 uses Avalanche's engine, so it's a different beast in terms of a seamless open world that you can play like that. We've talked about it some. Still uncertain whether that could ever work on the Switch."
