Googlen julkistettua Stadia-palvelunsa monet mediat julistivat sen pian "pelien Netflixiksi". Google itse ei kuitenkaan kertonut tarkemmin, millä tavalla he aikovat hinnoitella palvelunsa.
Wedbush Securitiesin analyytikko Michael Pachterin mukaan Stadia epäonnistuu, jos se on kuukausimaksullinen palvelu. Asiasta kertoi Gaming Bolt.
Pachter kuitenkin täsmentää itsekin, että hänen kantansa perustuu ainoastaan intuitioon.
"If it's [like] iTunes, games will be $59.99 unless the publishers offer an exclusive window to Microsoft and Sony first. If that occurs, games will likely be cheaper. If it's a subscription, it's doomed to fail, but they'll probably try to do it at $19.99 or cheaper per month. If it's a rental business, it will probably be $1 per hour or so. All pure speculation."
