Toukokuussa Overwatch Leaguen komissaari ("commissioner") Nate Nanzer paljasti olevansa lähdössä Blizzardilta Epic Gamesin leipiin. Nyt uuden Dexerton raportin mukaan muutakin korkean profiilin henkilökuntaa on nostamassa kytkintä Blizzardilta. Lähtijänä olisi muun muassa global product director of Blizzard Esports Kim Phan, jonka seurauksena Blizzardin koko strategia e-urheilun osalta tulee olemaan vaikeuksissa.
Pete Vlastelica on Activision Blizzard esportsin presidentti ja toimitusjohtaja. Hänestä yksi lähde mainitsi ihmisten olevan kypsä työskentelyyn hänen alaisenaan.
"People are really getting tired of working for Pete Vlastelica. The focus has become commercializing the esports titles instead of making good programs for the community. Many people internally are laying that on Pete, and it has crushed morale among the Call of Duty and Overwatch teams especially."
Toisen lähteen mukaan tällä hetkellä ylempi johto ei ymmärrä e-urheilua.
"Right now, there's a feeling that a lot of the senior management just don't understand esports. but there is no room for negotiating with these people. They are convinced their vision, which is more in line with televised sports, is the right way to go and it has just made people miserable."
Decerto kertoo saaneensa haltuunsa listan muistakin lähiaikoina Activision Blizzardilta lähtevistä, mutta ei kuitenkaan paljastanut nimiä enempää.
