E3 2020 -messut peruttiin, mutta Saksan Gamescom on edelleen toistaiseksi tulossa. The Game Awards -mies Geoff Keighley on kertonut, että The Steam Game Festival pidetään digitaalisesti 9.-14. kesäkuuta, eli parahultaisesti E3-messujen jättämän aukon aikana.
