Johnny Deppin oikeustaisto entistä vaimoaan Amber Heardia vastaan jatkuu, ja siinä samalla kuullaan yhtä jos toista muutakin asiaa liittyen näyttelijöiden uriin. Hollywoodista perillä oleva Kathyrn Arnold kertoi oikeudessa The Wrapin raportin mukaan siitä, millä tavalla Warner Bros. ja DC Comics ovat kohdelleet Heardia jupakan aikana.
Oli mahdollista, ettei Heard tekisi lainkaan paluuta jatko-osassa Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Tämä siksi, ettei ylin johto ollut moiseen innokas. Heardin taustatiimi asettui tietenkin vastahankaan, mutta se lopullinen käännekohta koettiin, kun ohjaaja James Wan ja Aquaman Jason Momoa halusivatkin Heardin takaisin kuvioihin.
"In February 2021, there were conversations that Amber's, I'm going to be technical with you, her option for employment was not going to be exercised. So they may not have hired her again. Her management team fought very hard and they ultimately ended up hiring her, but not only because of what her management did, but also because star Jason Momoa and director James Wan committed to her."
Sekin selvisi, että Heard sai kokonaan bannin DC FanDome -tapahtumaan, eikä päässyt edes julisteeseen.
"Ms. Heard was not invited to be either in the poster or to be at the [FanDome] event, and, in fact, they told her she cannot come."
Warner Bros. ja DC Comics eivät ole kommentoineet näkemyksiä. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom pitäisi saapua katsottavaksi maaliskuussa 2023.
