Sonyn pelikattaus on vahva, mutta mukaan on viime vuosina saatu uusiakin nimikkeitä, kuten Horizon: Zero Dawn ja Ghost of Tsushima. Hiljan Playstationin pomo Jim Ryan puhui sijoittajille, että Sony aikoo jakaa sijoituksensa puoliksi uusien ja vakiintuneiden pelisarjojen kesken. Aiemmin tämä jako on ollut 23/77 vakiintuneiden pelisarjojen eduksi.
Mukava tietää, että uuteen panostetaan aiempaa enemmän.
"New IP is the lifeblood of all entertainment and SIE is significantly increasing the amount that it is spending in this space. From less than a quarter of the total spend in FY 2019, we will augment the proportion invested to 50% of a much larger number by FY25, investment that we anticipate will yield significant returns in the second half of this decade."
This is happening at a time when Sony will be trying to move into the Live Service market and they will actually launch two of these games by March 2023.
