Simpsonien tuottaja pyysi anteeksi Larryn poistamista sarjasta

Simpsonit on pitkäaikainen animaatiosarja, ja vain hyvin harvoin jokin hahmo poistuu kuvioista. Näin tapahtui Larry the Barflylle, joka on ollut mukana sarjan ensimmäisestä jaksosta saakka, eli toisin sanoen pitkästi yli 30 vuotta. Katsova kansa älähti moista poistoa, ja nyt tuottaja on pahoitellut asiaa Varietyn haastattelussa.

Muita sarjasta ajan myötä poistuneita hahmoja ovat olleet ainakin Mona Simpson, Edna Krabappel, Frank Grimes ja Maude Flanders.
