Sonyn itsensä mukaan asennolla ei ole merkitystä. 4Gamer kysyi asiaa Sonyn "Mechanical Design Department VP" -hepulta Yasuhiro Ootorilta. Konsolin säilytysasento ei vaikuta jäähdytykseen.
