Horizon Forbidden West näyttänee hyvältä myös Playstation 4:llä

Horizon Forbidden West esiteltiin hiljan näyttävän videon voimin, ja menoa näytettiin tietenkin Playstation 5:llä. Teos on tulossa myös Playstation 4:lle, ja kaikesta päätellen ei tarvitse pelätä, että vanhemman polven raudalle tehty versio köhisi ja puhkuisi kuormansa alla. Guerrilla Gamesin peliohjaaja Mathijs de Jonge on nimittäin paljastanut, että merkittävä osuus pelinkehityksestä on tehty Playstation 4 -version parissa.

Asia paljastui Game Informerin haastattelussa.

"A lot of the development has taken place on the Playstation 4 and a lot of playtesting is also done on Playstation 4 so we are ensuring that owners of that console will have a great experience and that the game will look fantastic on that console."

Playstation 5:llä on tietysti mukana graafisia parannuksia, ja esimerkiksi veden alla näyttää paremmalta Playstation 5:llä.

"Visually we can add a lot more detail. Graphically, the rendering technique for the underwater scenes is special on the Playstation 5 — it has extra detail and extra systems. Like the wave technique is better on that system as well."

Julkaisupäivää ei ole kerrottu, mutta se luvattiin kertoa heti, kun varmuus on saatu.

"We just need a little bit more time, and then we can come back with a final release date."
