Call of Duty League will be getting LAN events later this year

More details will be coming soon.

A few days ago, the Overwatch League announced that it would be getting a few live events this year, despite the majority of the matches being played online. All of its in-person events are set to take place in China, and considering the Call of Duty League and the OWL are both parts of the Activision Blizzard esports banner, we assumed that meant the CDL would be all online this season, alike western OWL.

However, a recent Twitter post by the CDL has stated that the league will in fact be seeing a return to LAN events later this year, and that more details, hopefully including whether fans will be able to attend, will be revealed soon.

The post states, "In coordination with our teams, we're happy to announce Call of Duty League plans for teams to return to LAN play at select events later this season. More details to come!"
