Biowaren Anthem julkaistaan virallisesti tänään perjantaina 22. helmikuuta, mutta mielipiteitä ja arvioita on tihkunut verkkoon jo viikon ajan. Kaikki mielipiteet eivät ole olleet Biowarea ylistäviä. Nyt Microsoftin iso pamppu eli Xbox Corporate Vice President Mike Ybarra on ottanut kantaa Anthemin saamaan negatiiviseen huomioon.
Ybarra kutsui PC Gamerin tekstiin viitaten arvioijaa noloksi ja sanoi olevansa hämmentynyt vinkumisesta.
"This was actually very easy to do. Amazed at the whining. One reviewer, not the below, reviewed the game yet in the review cited that he didn't even know how to do a combo. Embarrassing to review with such a lack of knowledge."
Ybarralta kysyttiin mielipidettä Anthemista Twitterissä. Ybarran mukaan kannattaa lukea monia arvioita ja nimenomaan sellaisia, joiden kriitikoiden kanssa tapaa olla samaa mieltä.
"I don't do "reviews" because everyone enjoys different things. I'd suggest "modern reviews" should be watching streamers play a game, doing the demo, listening to what your gaming friends think - and if it seems like something you will enjoy then great."
"Def should also read reviews from your favorite sites/journalists as input. Many things to look at to help determine if you will like or dislike a particular game. I reference many of them all the time for my own decision making. The more the better."
VG247 huomautti, että Microsoft on tehnyt yksinoikeudellisen markkinointisopimuksen Anthemin kanssa.
