Barbie laajentaa IMAXille, mutta vain muutamilla markkina-alueilla

Barbie on kuluvan vuoden menestynein elokuva, ja perässä on sitten The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Alkaen 22. syyskuuta 2023 Barbie on myös IMAX-malliin katsottavissa. Pääasiassa tämä onnistuu Yhdysvalloissa, ja jenkkien ulkopuolella moinen on mahdollista vain joillakin markkina-alueilla.

Ohjaaja Greta Gerwig kommentoi asiaa Entertainment Weeklylle, että IMAX-versiossa on mukana uusia kohtauksia.

"We made Barbie for the big screen, so it's a thrill to be able to bring it to IMAX, the biggest screen of all. And as a special thanks to Barbie fans, we're excited to share a little bit more of our cast and crew's incredible work by adding special new footage we hope audiences will enjoy."
