HBO:n mukaan ei ole varmaa, että The Last of Us saa kolmannen kautensa

HBO Maxin sarja The Last of Us kohosi ensimmäisellä kaudellaan suosioon suureen. Toinen kausi on tulossa, ja ensi-iltaa odotellaan vuodelle 2025. Toistaiseksi ei ole tiedossa, miltä osin toinen kausi käsittelee pelin The Last of Us: Part II -pelin tapahtumia.

Nyt on selvinnyt, ettei The Last of Us -sarjan kolmas kausi olekaan kirkossa kuulutettu. HBO:n "head of drama" Francesca Orsi kertoi Deadlinelle, etteivät sarjan puuhamies Craig Mazin ja sarjan luoja Neil Druckmann ole vielä päättäneet, kuinka ja koska sarja lopetataan.

"I think Craig and Neil are still figuring out where they're going to come to an end. We have loosely heard that there will be a Season 3 idea for the series, but at this point, we're taking it one season at a time. There's no guarantee at this point that we'll have a Season 3 but I know that they both have a vision for Season 3. Whether that lends itself to doing more [seasons], I don't know yet."
