Kotimaisen Remedyn Controlin maailmaan sijoittuva moninpeli ei noudata free-to-play-mallia

Kotimaisella Remedyllä tapahtuu paljon tällä hetkellä. Alan Wake 2 on saatu maailmalle, ja seuraavaksi on aika Controlin maailmaan sijoittuvalle sivuaskelpelille eli "spinoffille" nimeltä Condor.

Talousluvuista kertoneen Rock, Paper, Shotgunin mukaan Condor ei tule olemaan free-to-play-mallia noudattava. Remedy laskuttaa pelistä tavallista alhaisemman hinnan, ja sitten myöhemmin linjoille laitellaan päivityksiä, laajennuksia ja mahdollisesti mikromaksuja.

"--- long tail of revenue through updates, game expansions and potentially microtransactions."

Remedyn mukaan tavoitteena on pitää pelaajat kiireisinä vuosien ajan.

"For these games, a key differentiator is the post-launch live operations phase meant to keep players engaged for years. This model will be used for example in codename Condor, a multiplayer spin-off game of Control."
