Hiljan Multiplayer.it ja Movieplayer.it järjestivät tapahtuman Ultra Pop Festival, jossa Splinter Cell -sarjan Sam Fisherin italialainen ääninäyttelijä Luca Ward paljasti jotain kiintoisaa. Splinter Cell on tekemässä paluuta, vaikka Ubisoft ei olekaan sitä virallisesti ilmoittanut. Uusi peli olisi työn alla.
Vaikuttaa siltä, että julkaisun piti tapahtua vuonna 2020, mutta sitten koronavirus laittoi suunnitemat uusiksi.
